Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Krasic looks decent, but there are way too many donkeys in that team like Lanzafame, Del Piero and Melo.

    Manninger really is useless.

Juve snatch a lucky goal with practically the last kick of the half. 2-1 Poznan.

is it a 'full' Juve Team?

City still looking more like a collection of individuals/less than the sum of their parts against Salzburg.

    That's not true at all

Other than Lanzafame and Manninger, any of those players would be fairly regular starters.

Anyway the Lech dream is over, 2-2.

Patrick Helmes has been lethal for Bayer.

4-0 Bayer after 60 minutes. Hattrick for Helmes.

    I think it is.

Not playing badly and deserve to be ahead but there doesnt seem to be a cohesiveness about them in the sense that they don't look greater than the sum of their parts but rather they look less than the sum of the individual players.

I suppose with the new players and the rejiggedish lineup there is an element of taking time for the players to gel.

Aris Saloniki have never been beaten at home in Europe for 20 years, record looks to stay intact as they lead Atletico Madrid 1-0.

The defence has been solid, the midfield unit has worked very well, and Silva has been the link man to the front two. There's perfect balance for a change, and the players are working well together.

Don't disagree and while it is a European away game, Salzburg aint exactly anywhere close in terms of player quality , yet they've still given City a pretty decent game.

I rate a lot of the City players and by rights they should probably be battering a side like this out of existence.

Also the last full game I saw City play was the Liverpool game so kinda comparing it to that.

Turned on last 10 mins of Aris Saloniki v Atletico M...as looks like City game is petering out.
Diego Costa put a free header over from 3 yards out. Then Aris went and had a great chance to make it 2-0, great save needed.

All over and Aris Saloniki the Greek team beat the holders 1-0. Pretty impressive.

Zenit 3-0 up at half-time away to Anderlecht, they could go very far in this along with Porto. Have backed Porto, must back Zenit too. City's squad is the best in the comp. but they always seem to screw up somewhere and they are short enough favs.

is it a 'full' Juve Team?

Buffon, Storari, Bonucci, Marchisio, Amauri, Quagliarella, Traore, Aquilani and Martinez were injured/cup tied/not starting.

Krasic is one of the signings of the summer - he was always a top player for CSKA and could be Juve's main man this season. He looks and plays like Nedved. Juve have started slowly enough this season as was expected after last seasons horror story.

What a brilliant finish to the Karpaty v Dortmund game. Dortmund took a 2-0 lead and Karpaty managed 3 goals to take the lead. Barrios and Götze with goals in the 87th and 93rd minute stole it. 4-3 Dortmund.

    Awesome stuff.
