It's time for another anime convention, and with it comes the usual gaming tournaments!
Prices:
€18 for one day.
€23 for the weekend, or €20 if you preregister. (Preregs end in 2 weeks)

Saturday 16th

• 11-1: Super Smash Bros Brawl
• 1-3: Modern Warfare 2
• 3-5: Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver
• 5-7: Street Fighter IV (I'm assuming this is Super, they mention 30+ characters in the rules)
• 7-9: Mario Kart Wii

Sunday 17th

• 11-12.30: BlazBlue Calamity Trigger
• 12.30-2.30: Halo Reach (2v2)
• 2.30-4.30: Yu-Gi-Oh
• 4.30-5.30: Mystery Retro Game!

I think Sairus is desperate to shed the tag of "man who keeps street fighter tournaments to himself so he can win Super TEs"

It's the not the snappiest of titles so I can see why he wants rid of it.

And to be fair, CS isn't even out in Europe yet. Any people who play BB that aren't on here will probably have never played it. At the risk of sounding pompous - yes, anyone who's not on here probably doesn't have much chance of winning anyway, but still, the local version of the game should probably be in use.

If people want to switch to CS, I will ask, but bear in mind the guys running aren't big FG heads. They're putting on a casual tournament. You'd prob have to promise to loan the games yourselves. Even then, I am not sure if BB is on PS3, or if a switch is possible.

We should be looking at this as a way to snag more people for inferno et al, not as some hyper competetive event in which dreams will be shattered like twigs beneath Guile's mighty boot heels. It's a way to raise awareness and find bedroom SF players who'd love to join us.

I was in the semi finals of Nom Com's tournament when two hot gothy looking I would say 17 year olds sat right next to me. Bam. One on the others lap.

More distracting than the entire Dublin sf scene bawling me out for laming it up.
