Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A while ago a tub of cream burst in my boot. Thought i,d got it cleaned up but there is a constant smell in the car now. Have tried cleaning carpets and plastics in the boot and mian part of car but its still there.

If you use a mix of vinegar & water to clean it out it should make a difference. The vinegar is an acid, the cream is a base, in theory it should produce salt & water, i.e. your smell should go.

You could try an interior spray like Meguiar's Odour Destroyer. Dampen the carpet in the boot with it and it'll get rid of it.

Also, pour dry coffee grounds into a sock and leave it in the boot for a while. I'm not sure on the length of time it would take but it does work.

Lemon juice could also do a job for you, but you would have to clean the sticky lemon juice out after wards!

Used milton in hot water and scrub the carpet let it dry out and hoovered it. Nice smell of milton after so filled socks with coffee grounds and now car smells like a starbucks. Better then a rancid dairy smell

The GF spilt milk in her car a while back and no matter what we did we couldn't get rid of the sour smell.

Eventually got the interior valated professionally and its been perfect since but we did it within 5 days of it happening so you'd need to sort it sooner than later.

Also you could try vanilla essence. Little bottle in supermarkets on the bakery aisle. A few drops should kill the odour and no need to clean up a mess afterwards.

Something like this should work, you need to kill off the bacteria causing the smell.

Shake n Vac or bread soda.
Both of them are great for milk based spillages.
Pour on,leave for about an hour and then hoover off.
    They absorb the odours completely.

Would highly recommend this. I know several local taxi drivers who use this to remove the smell of sick after Saturday nights.
