Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking at getting a new PC. I want to get something under 1000 that runs really fast. Ideally looking at a 15 or 17 processor. Ideally 1gb of a dedicated graphics card (but that's not essential - gaming isn't essential butd be nice). A decent ammount of RAM because the primary focus of the computer will be multitasking.

    I was looking at this

    http://www.medion.com/gb/electronics/prod/MEDION%C2%AE+AKOYA%C2%AE+P7220+D+%28MD7331%29/10013734A1?category=pc_17

and it looks excellent. I haven't seen anything around that spec or better for a similar price. Anyone else have any deals I'm missing out on or suggestions?

Its not everyones cup of tea I know, but if you were willing go DIY you could probably build an even better PC for about the same or maybe even less. :)

In relation to other prebuilt options it does seems to be pretty competitive pricewise.

Thanks marco_polo. I would prefer not to do the build option. Actually that's not strictly true, I'd love to build it but I don't have a tonne of time nor do I have any real skillz. If I had the time I'd work on teaching myself enough stuff to try it but at the moment that's not an option.

I think I might try go for the medion if no one can direct to me to something better. Thanks for your input. I might try look into building my own for the next PC after this (current one is really old and blue screening a lot so it's a matter of urgency).
