Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shocking from Ward, shocking. Awful tackle.

Over-reacted with the yelp but definately caught. Yellow imo and I don't really mind anyone kicking Spurs players.

Yeah I actually meant over-reacted rather than simulate contact. I'l be clearer with my accusations next time :p Ridiculous to see him yelp and go down like he was shot, and be right back on his feet seconds later.

Spurs get out of jail penalty scored

Shocking moment of indiscipline from Ward! Moment of madness to give Roflham a way back into the game.

He's a bit emo , what did you expect with that haircut.:p

VdV slots the pen. 15 mins left. Could Spurs win this now?

Ward has been brilliant since he gave away that penalty! The ball he put in there a couple of minutes ago was class.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

Fairly tasty now - either side could nick this still.

You gotta love McCarthy. He has always set up his teams to have a go. This is twice now already this season where he has gone away in games they are supposed to lose and be money time. Spurs have looked brittle yet again - but really, everyone bar Chelsea are there for the taking on any given weekend.

    Spurs 2-1 now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,415 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Well, a silly mistake and a bit of outrageous fortune have given Spurs the three points. Distinctly unimpressive all the same. Six points against Stoke and Wolves that they didn't deserve. Must be nice to have things fall your way on a regular basis.

    Pav

Spurs really had to battle to win this one.

I reckon Spurs will continue to be fragile post Euro games.

How? He didn't send off Foley despite it being a definite yellow.

Everyone is fragile post European games. Spurs will be no different. But they need to grind out results like this and they are doing it.

Wolves had the ball near the Spurs end, lazy refereeing and he gets in the way of Van Dam, stops him collecting the ball giving Spurs back possession. They go up the field and score. Simples.

I think they will be a lot more fragile than the other Euro teams.

Hutton to make the scoreline flattering - would imagine he has consigned Kaboul to the bench for the next game.

Two fantastic chances for Everton in injury time not converted. 1-0 Newcastle.

Everton's terrible start to the season picks up where it left off,

Great win for Newcastle, Krul making a late safe to keep the 3 points.

Arsenal unchanged from Braga. Wellbeck starts over Gyan for Sunderland.

It'd be sillly to see Moyes go after one bad start considering how fantastically he has done there.

Moyes has a bad start every year suddenly they will all click and they will surge ahead and end up on 60ish points like every season

Totally agree, my post was tongue and cheek really, but it won't be long until the press and the fans have a go at him, another 2 or 3 bad results and we ll hear he lost the dressing room, that's why i'm pissed off with the whole football culture these days

What's worse is that because the ref saw him and he got a yellow retrospective action can't be taken and he really should get a straight red for that.

He's a dirty dirty player anyway, so glad he didn't score that chance he got at the end, would have been fierce cruel.

Big time, especially considering he shouldn't have even been on the pitch. Or anywhere near a football pitch for the next few weeks after that elbow.

How did Diouf get away with that perp?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭yahoo_moe

Incredible alright. Even the MOTD lads, and indeed Big Sam, said it was a foul.

But of course when Wenger pointed out exactly this last week, he's just a moan
