Post offices open on Saturdays?

    Anyone happen to know if the GPO or any other post office in the city centre is open today? I checked the An Post website, and it only gives Monday-Friday opening hours, but I was almost certain that some post offices opened for a half day on Saturdays?

    yup they do... gpo is open till 8 today! Andrew St is open too. Most of the smaller ones are only open till 1.

    Whilst they may be open, the mail won't ship until Monday. No Saturday collections any more.

    Not quite sure.

    We went to post a letter a few months ago and were told that there weren't any more Saturday collections. When I moaned about it here (or somewhere else) it appeared that that was the case for quite a while.
