How are you going to justify having a . 338 lapua magnum?! And then explaining why it's a semi auto?!

Not cutting you down would just love to know!

Long range targets one would "assume", 1200 yards or so should test it to see if it can cut the Mustard.

Question is will the recoil make whinders of Dwighet ;) Semi Auto or not!

He licenced a 300wssm after all!

    Nope, too wet out.
I wanted to make some elderberry wine today but the rain put an end to that.

Working tomorrow so no boozing for me.
might go for a mallard on the drain in my old mans field before it gets dark

AFAIK there are two or three 338LM's in the country. you could justify having one if you could prove you needed it for hunting big game in africa, but the cops could easily give you a letter saying you were only permitted to use it in africa and that it would be confiscated if you were caught using it in ireland

Merge perhaps with the thread "Now THATS an AR 15"??:D:D
Be a a tad bit difficult for use in Sth Africa. Most
African states are just as paranoid about semi autos as this lot up here..
Sth Africa they are since Mandaleas socialist takeover impossible to own legally, but anybody who values their life has an AK tucked away somwhere...Go figure.
However it could be used in the US or Canada for hunting and the East blocks..Bear ,Boar,Moose, etc.

Built on the AR-15 platform too...that means if anyone ever comes up with something to match it, you can just swap the upper for one of these :D

Hmmm,I wonder what the recoil is like on a AR 50 BMG;)
Considering there isnt much mass to absorb this in a AR lower, especially going into a flimsy CAR style stock. Not to mind it will test the hell out of the lower and you will soon find out is it a quality lower,as the recoil slamming into the aluminium front hinge pin ,will soon round out the holes there and in the rear reciver upper locking pin hole .
