    Hi folks,

I heard on the grapevine that you can claim a tax refund if you intend to go abroad by filling out a P50 form?. There is a field on the form that says:

"2. Are you making this claim on the basis that you are going abroad ? Y/N"

Does anyone know the ins and outs and what the criteria is for a refund?.

    Many thanks. :)

    Hi feelgood,
You need to declare that you won't be seeking employment or State benefits from Ireland before the end of this tax year, and also provide them with contact details for you, during your time abroad.
