Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello,

Iv always had an interest in photography but only now really trying to get into it. I told my dad I was thinking of buying myself an SLR and he showed me the camera his dad used to use, a cannon A1. There are loads of great lenses with it all in great nick so I was thinking of trying it out. The only thing is it needs film....does anyone know where these films can be purchased??? can these photos be put on a cd so you can view them as its not a digital camera?

    Thanks guys

Where are you based? I have loads of film you can have for free.

Also, yes you can get them put onto CD. Any boots or most pharmacys will be able to do it for you :)

I have found Unicare much cheaper than Boots when it comes to developing and putting onto CD.

You can get 5-packs of film in Boots for 11 to 15 euro I think (and I think they do 3 for 2 on them also).

The majority of film SLR's are 35mm

The cannon A1 is a 35mm and thats what I have.

You Sir/Madam have one the finest cameras that the good lord put on the planet. Look after it better than I did mine:mad:.

On developing, if you pop into a Unicare pharmacy and seek out the fuji lab counter, they'll stick 5 rolls of film onto a disc for you for 15quids.

I think every. I use Northside shopping centre or John in Artane Castle. His machine was broken for a while but he's back up and running again.
