Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

was looking into this recently myself and was recommended to try using an app on my android phone and i've stuck with it. app is called cardiotrainer and while it doesn't give as accurate details as say a garmin, it does me for now. need an android phone though (not sure if it's on iphone but prob equivalent for it).

    here's the thread.

The Garmin Edge 800 is due out next month - If you want full GPS functionality (the Edge 500 does not have mapping), this may be a better (hopefully more reliable) option than the Edge 705 that a lot of us around here currently use

would you be able to put up a jpeg of what stats you can get on a garmin when you upload data onto the net? cardio trainer is fairly basic so i'd just like to compare.

The accruacy of the Garmin would be much better than the the phone for start. Having a pretty website is only part of it. Have used the iphone but will be getting a edge 800 when it comes out.

Click this link, select all products to compare and it will show you the features. You need the HRM strap and cadence sensor for that data I have. the 310xt also does Power if you have a PM

those are the forerunners, for cycling an edge series is much nicer to use (bigger display/easier to make changes while cycling etc...)

    http://connect.garmin.com

You can update from Training Centre to Garmin Connect by savng the .tcx for all the old files. If you get the Garmin Connect Agent it should auto upload to the website.
