Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Buying advice sought.

I am planning a new purchase and seek some qualified advice.

I am a committed Canon user and see myself as an enthusiatic amateur and photo club member and whilst a hobbyist, keen to get some paid work.

I am not bothered about video and whilst preferable, not too worried if lenses not fully interchangeable.

    I use a 50D DSLR and am considering a 1D or 5D.

    Any advice gratefully received.

The obvious question ..... Where does your 50D limit you now?

No limitation on 50D at all - its terrific, but I am looking to buy a 2nd body and thought as I had an opportunity to spend some money now (which will not return for sometime) to invest in a more pro unit.

A 5d would be the logical choice to expand as it will give you more options for wide angle than a 1d. Other option is a second hand 1dsmk2. I have a 1dmk3 and a 5d and for work they compliment each other beautifully
