Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As an opener for this weekends marathon champs.

Running a 'low-key' hill climb up the Kilmashogue hill climb tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6:30pm. This is not an official race, we are all going out on our own bat to do a timed run up the hill :) We will either use a timer or I'll take times from the top when I finish (or whoever is at the top first).

The climb is usually done on mountain bikes, but if you have a cross bike, that will be fine too. Only a couple of steep sections (steepest is on Tarmac before you turn left onto the fireroad).

There will be a mass start at 6:40pm from the start of the climb (see map). Be there at 6:30 so we can get orgainized. Remember, if you are riding afterwards to take lights for the ride home – sunset is at 7:30 tomorrow.

Weather is looking good - maybe a bit of a head/side wind - but okay.

    Distance: 3.4km
    Elevation Gain: 280m
Surface: Tarmac for first kilometer, then fireroad
Time usually taken: between 12 and 22 minutes
Finish: Where the fireroad levels off, and then descends – after the final few switchbacks – close to where the Wicklow Way cuts off.

A fine evening for it - looks like a slight side/tail wind. Reasonable warm and dry.

It's a tough one alright - especially with a bit of a wind in the face. A really nice evening for it though.
