Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

you should apply for one parent family benefit and child benefit.

As for the free house, your need for housing will be assessed. It's no longer automatic just because you had a baby.

i can recieve rent supplement.. im not looking for local authority housing.. I will be eligible for a house anyway because there is 5 in my house already. my mother and father in one room and my two brothers in another. im in the smallest room of the house there is no room for a cot or anything so i should be eligible when they come out to assess it.
is there anything i can apply for before i even have the baby?

You could try and sign on for JSB, but your parents income will be taken into account as you are under 23.
So unless they are both welfare recipients, you may not be entitled to anything.

Parent's income isn't take into account if you have a baby.

Which has not been born yet as the OP is asking what entitlements she is eligible for now.
