Not sure if i should post here or in laptops..

Currently i have a 120GB drive in my dell inspiron 9400 and i want to upgrade it.

I was thinking of getting this : http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=815

my question is would it work/fit with my laptop? im not 100% sure as ive never upgraded/opened the laptop before.

Attached is a file with the current drive specs. (really a .html file but word opens it fine)

    Here

It should be fine it is a standard notebook 2.5" SATA HDD same as what you are replacing.

    It will be fine.
What you should be concerned about is the height of the drive as some of the bigger capacity 2.5" drives are 11mm or even 12mm which would mean they wouldn't even fit into your drive bay but this one is standard 9.5mm see "Physical Dimensions" (metric) in this link http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=815

But in the specs the OP posted for his current drive and prospective purchase both are standard 9.5 mm drives.

*EDIT* apologies you did say this, misread your post :).
