Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi All, I want to block facebook from being used on a computer at home. I'd like that maybe an hours access a day could be granted (because i do have a heart!). Is there any program out there that can do this for me? Preferably free.

    Thanks.

it should be a crime to block facebook:P anyways - what router do you have? a lot of them have the functionality to block specific sites during specific hours

What corkcomp said is spot on, we used to put a block on bebo a couple of years ago using the router and it worked a treat.
It was like watching a jukie withdrawing from heroin.

You should be able to block a website on a schedule on the router.
If you can connect the router you should have an option to block sites or services.

You can also try www.opendns.com where you can block web sites by catagories or by individual domain names. Rgds,

    P.S. it is free

I have looked through all the options with the router by going to 192.168.1.254, but I can't see any options to block a website access

Don't think it is possible on the Netopia, checked one I have here but it doesn't seem to be an option. Have it on my belkin and linksys but thats no good to you. You can try blocking it by editing your host file http://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/block-websites-using-hosts-file/

+1 far easier to do and also you can "lock" the HOSTS file by password protecting it. Sneaky.
