High Impact Storage Cases

Nice high impact storage cases at Maplins at the mo.

Picked one up today for some of my guns. Havent cut the foam inserts yet to fit em - cant decide what to carry in it but suffice to say it's nice, strong and will offer a reasonable degree of protection to guns that are worth protecting...
Great for transport too - lockable at two points.

I'm sure there's better cases out there but I didnt want to spend a fortune...

I dont know the price down here - I paid £40 in Belfast today (they were £50)but was defo worth it.

Thanks for that, they do look like nice cases alright. might even consider some for my camera gear because Peli cases are so damn expensive!

I got one last week for my camera gear, but it's become a storage case for some tools already. I'll have to get another one, as it's perfect to carry my camera bodies and lenses without me worrying.

They only have one size, which is about the right size for a collection of pistols, or a folding stock MP5/UMP etc. Not really suited to anything bigger. The foam is layered, however, so you could theoretically carry an entire collection pistols, a couple of subs and appropriate magazines for all, all in the one case.

@Mindphuck - As Dex said - only seemed to have this size available.

any idea where I can get extra foam inserts to cut out depending on the carry configuration I wanted to use?

No idea, I asked the same. The foam inside is a pre-cut matrix, the only foam I know of that could be used is tool foam. You'd need to hand cut it though, so it's not the ideal option.

Use an electric knife with the smallest, it's the best I've found to cut foam.

Gatling linked me to a supplier of memory foam, it's fairly cheap and perfect for what you need Aido, will try and dig it out for you!
