lemon 070 pvr

i have an issue with my pvr.

the pvr is the Lemon 070 pvr, i bought it in maplin last year and its worked like a charm ever since.

this week the remote control has been randomly not responding. i could wake up 1 morning and it could work for 5 mins and then not work.

then it could work for 2 days straight no bother then stop again. obviosly it us not something as simple as the batteries, i have put new batteries in to the remote and it might night work at all and then put the old ones back in and it does work for a while,
i could understand it not working if it got a bang or some sort of knock but the remote is in perfect condition.

i am finding it impossible to find a replacement remote for this model. i know of universal remotes that can be used with this pvr but they only control functions like volume up/down channel up/down. but a universal would not control features such as libaray button to accses recorded content and the ability to record.



just wondering has anyone had a similar issue with this model.

Any of the Universal RCs that have a "Learn" function will operate all the functions of the original remote. There was a very good one on offer in Lidl about 4 wks ago. It was only €11. I tuned my Sky+, DVD & UPC remote into the one I got & it works a treat.

yes, but you need the working original remote to learn special functions. A sort of catch-22 if the reason for a new remote is that the old one is lost/broken/eaten.

unfortunately it only controls volume up/down channel up/down , the select button displays channel menu

no response from any of the record functions on the remote but will do till the other one is in stock.

I have the same unit and had the same issue with a non working remote.

Buy yourself a logitech harmony 300 or another from the logitech range. The 300 is the cheapest.

You can select the lemon profile online from the logitech site to update the remote. It performs all the functions you will need straight away - it is not limited to volume etc.

My remote was dead on delivery but the supplier could not supply a replacement. I did not want to return the PVR so this was the only option I could use - works perfectly.
