    The three course baguette.

One third toasted and smoothered in melted butter and rubbed with garlic.

One third eaten with different types of cheeses, warmed camembert, brie, goats cheese, blue cheese. The non-veggies had theirs with saussison too.

Last third sliced up and dipped in to chocolate fondue.

    Mmmmmm.

Had a traumatic shopping trip to Rathfarnum SC (dont ask) so grabbed a tesco Caesar salad kit and some pre cooked chicken.

Ditched the pack sauce and added my own. Chicken wasnt great (wont do that again) but the lettuce in the kit was top notch which made up for it. Glass of Marlborough Sav Blanc helped it down and settled the nerves!

Don't knock it until you've tried it. ;)

No, I just couldnt again. I have tried it and it was like eating a 300 year old cow. I dont eat alot of meat, but horse is just too far over the line for me.

Having said that, Ive been wondering what owl tastes like. I saw one on broadsheet the other day and it looked very like a moth so I kinda went off them as an animal - which makes them fair game for food. Hilly Billy, seeing as you seem to eat anything with a pulse - have you ever had it?

Mushrooms are tasty, but Govindas cookbook says that they do something to your karma so I have been staying away from them a bit. Likewise garlic.

Having a pasta salad today - roasted veggies in it. Chocolate Buttons that came as part of a promotion to the office make dessert!

To be honest, I prefer my dinner without a pulse. :D

No, I've not tried owl. Would certainly give it a go though.

I'd just add that you must have had some pretty crap horse in the past then. Any time I've had it - especially horse steak - it has been exceptionally good. Like beef fillet, but tastier.

    Roadkill? :)

Im not sure about owl. Im thinking like a chickenny pigeon or a froggy venison. But now I have moths in my head when I think of owls, I'll never know because I wouldnt be able to eat one without thinking it was a moth. :(

The horse was probably perfectly good - it was just my head taking over my taste buds and mouth with the notion of eating it I would wager.

    Would you eat..........an armidillo?
