Celebrity Magazines and who qualifies as a celebrity?

    I'm so excited to see in the new edition of OK! magazine that a friend of the Beckhams is featured on the front cover with the exciting news that she was in her own house when she slit her wrists. I am all for friends of celebrities trying to become celebrities in their own right, and wonder how long it might be before friends of friends of celebrities will qualify to tell their own heart-rendering stories on the front pages of the celebrity glossy magazines. Or perhaps the friends of the postman to celebrities. What an exciting world we live in.

    My fgoodness, you do seem an expert! Is bella another magazine? Does ti specialise in friends of celebrities and their exciting lives? :D

    I am just astonished that anyone, apart form her Mum, wants to read the story of someone who is a "friend" of the Beckhams, whatever that means.

    No, not an expert, just a woman who, like most other women, enjoys the odd bit of light reading.. plenty of people are obviously buying the magazines, nobody's asking you to read them.. don't let it upset you so much :)

    In fairness guys, for those of us old enough to remember :o the girl in question was an actress(Hollyoaks back in the day of Kurt, Jambo and co.) and I'm pretty sure she's an heiress/socialite, I know that's not Hilton or Kardashian status or anything but so she's not just a random 'friend of the Beckhams' poor choice of wording from the magazine really!
