Such a thing as affordable 1 bed apartments for rent?

    I'm desperately looking for a 1 bed apartment in Limerick city but everywhere is at least €500 per month. Some are less than this but they're usually complete kips, and I'm not very fussy.

    Am I being completely unrealistic in hoping to find a 1 bed in the €300-€400 range? I only stay in my current place 3 or 4 nights a week and its not suitable sharing because I have to share bills and stuff even though I'm rarely there. I'd also like my own space. Anyone information would be much appreciated.

    The floor for Rent in Ireland is largely dictated by the rent allowance from the government, sadly.
