I have a Buffalo NAS with all my media on it attached to a .N wireless network.

    I have 2 tv's, CRT, Scart.
I dont have sky, I have freesat.

Is there a device I can buy (2 of, 1 for each telly) that will let me browse the network and play from the NAS? (Movies, Music, Pics etc)

buffalo does something called LinkTheater, where you connecting to the tv and you will be able to view your Buffalo NAS via wireless or LAN, i have one and works like a charm :)

Powerline has the bandwidth you need for high def. The ethernet output should be compatible with your router.

If you want to keep it cheap buy 2 old xboxs, 2 xbox remotes and install xbmc on both. Easiest way to do it is with a hacked memory card and a game like splinter cell. Wont be wireless but thats where network plugs come in. This was my first media player 6 years ago and is still the best for sd. I use it in my bedroom. I upgraded to a asrock with xbmc live in my other rooms for hd media.

I have two of these and they are brilliant http://www.xtreamer.net/ I have a smaller one for the living room which connects to the main one upstairs and it plays HD content too.

I'm surprised that noone has mentioned the WD Live. I have it and granted i only play off a direct connection to HD. It will play anything i throw at it.

The live edition has an ethernet connection and is compatible with wireless dongles.
One of the most robust and cheapest ones ive come across

Have a look at the Popcornhour C200 and also the Tivx and Dune HDI ranges.
