Milo and Kate cancelled?

I just read a minute ago of rumours that Milo and Kate had been cancelled because, oddly enough, a Gary Glitter emulator made Microsoft feel a bit iffy.

Nothing's confirmed yet, though. The rumour goes that it's been cancelled and the tech will be used in some sort of Fable spin-off, (probably in a game where you talk to a small boy in medieval times. It's not creepy if it's historical!).

It's a bit sh*t and a sad sign of the times when something that could be technically brilliant, is passed over because of the nanny brigade. Although that said, I'd probably have spent a large portion of the game trying to teach Milo how to swear.

Thats disappointing because it does look pretty cool but I have to say I'm not surprised. Nearly any article about it was followed with loads of reader comments about how it'd be a paedophiles dream game and lets face it thats no the publicity MS want for their platform.

Now if I was a conspiratorially minded person I'd almost suggest it would be in a rivals best interests to make that kind of fuss about a system thats more futuristic looking than their own system

Read the rumour too, and think its a big shame.
Surely they could have put some controls around it instead, to block certain reactions and actions?
Or just made the avatar an adult?
