Kielys of Mount Merrion is launching a new series of FREE live gigs next Thursday, September 30.

Kielys Student Sessions will take place from 9 P.M. each Thursday during the academic terms. Bands lined up for the first four weeks include Wicklow’s Glyder who will play on the opening night, Dark Room Notes, shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize last year, Dublin-based Bulgarian band Amoric and Bat Kinane, who will be launching his acclaimed solo album “A Lifetime to Kill”.
All pints are E3.50 on the day.

Formally the Sportmans Inn and the Stella Ballroom, Kielys of Mount Merrion is Ireland's oldest live music pub venue. Those that have played here include Elton John, Jeff Lynne, Dermot Morgan, Phil Lynnott, Van Morrison, Dr Feelgood, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Rory Gallagher and Newstalk's Tom Dunne!

For those who don't know it, Kielys is just 5 mins walk from UCD's Owenstown gate.
