Hi I'm from the north so not sure where to look for this... (tried athletics ireland but not much there - advice on good fixture sites welcome...)

Any decent (or any) 5 mile or 10k races in Dublin late October / early November??

www.runireland.com is a good site, you can view races by distance and/or location if you go to the calendar near the bottom right of the homepage. Nothing much on around that time though, I'd imagine that's because of DCM

Great - thanks. Perhaps bad time of year.

Big 10k on 27th of November in Belfast. Was hoping to sneak a race in before it.

There's a 10k on 16th Oct in Donadea which is about 40 mins drive from Dublin city centre. Nice route along country roads & then into Donadea Forest Park. Did it last year, great event.

Dublin Simon Fun Run (5 miles) is on Saturday 9 October at 10:30am in the Phoenix Park.

    View the approximate route.
It starts on Acres Road, goes up to Chesterfield Ave, left onto Furze Road, down Upper Glen Road, along Military Road and then climbs Kyber Road to the finish line.

It can be a bit busy at the start because there are always a lot of kids right at the front to do their 200m sprint before they fall back. It is heavily promoted with school kids so this is to be expected.
