A Nikon D90 with the 18-105 kit lens. Really happy with it so far, I just need to figure out how to use it like it should be used now :)

Very little I'm afraid. I'm trying to read up a bit/watch a few video tutorials online. My better half done a bit of Photography in college and is teaching me what she remembers. I was have tempted to do one of the courses in Limerick Senior but I've heard both good and bad things about it.

I've a fair few pictures from around but I'm going to space them out a bit and only post a few at a time.

I am thinking of buying one of those, how much do they go for?

I spent the afternoon searching for a new charger for my camera battery, only to be told I'll need to order one on-line.

I'm considering just investing in a new digital camera. Nothing too fancy. I've been using a Fujifilm Finepix J10. Could anyone recommend something in a similar price-range?

That's very kind of you XiledSniper but I will give it a pass. I hate borrowing stuff from people because it always goes wrong for me . Thanks a mill for the offer though, greatly appreciated.

You can get the D90 18-105 kit for about €700>800 online and from about €850>1000 in a brick & mortar store.

What about something like http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/5595060/c_1/1|category_root|Photography|14419436/c_2/3|cat_19780865|Digital+cameras|14419441.htm runs off AA batteries so no having to worry about a camera charger.

    As for your current one

    http://cgi.ebay.ie/New-Battery-Charger-Fuji-BC-45-NP-45-Fujifilm-J10-Z20fd-/120668261411?pt=UK_Camera_Chargers_Docks&hash=item1c18638c23

That should do it and it would save you having to upgrade if you don't need to :)

^^bought that (or the previous model with less megapixels) for my mother. Very easy to use for non techies. AA batteries as you said so if she forgets to charge it then a quick fix is only as far as the nearest shop. Tidy size and cheap enough not to worry about if lost/stolen/damaged. Handy carry-it-everywhere camera...

And at the moment, its €15 off, which makes it only €1 more expensive then the 120 - so I'd say its worth it, although I'm not 'big' into the world of Point & Shoots, Only ones I really know are the likes of the Canon G11/G12 Etc.

I know Argos sell a fuji bridge cam. I don't know what it is like but it was said to me that bridge cams are a good step into photography when I was starting. Think it is about 120.

That's the one. Thought it was cheaper tbh. I would have tried to find it on the argos site myself but I was on my phone.

    It would be cheaper online.

Argos have the HS10 (30x Zoom, plenty of bells and whistles) in their catalogue for silly money, got one on Amazon for about 220 iirc?
