    Ah are you for real?

it's a Maori war dance and one of the most respected traditions in the sport.

It was a huge occasion to mark the opening of the stadium, as well as celebrating the return of the All-Blacks to Limerick. The extra splendour added to the excitement of the night, and added something different, something special to the night. It's not as if the Munster players dance before every game.

Posts about pro-wrestling moved to the Waffle thread.
Let's keep this thread for pictures of Limerick, please.

I would be extremely grateful if someone could help me locate this particular photograph and more importantly the photographer who produced it. A well known sporting organisation has expressed interest in purchasing said photo for display in their well known stadium. Please contact via PM if you can be of assistance.

I'm surprised there aren't more photos being uploaded.
Brilliant scenery in past few days.
I lost my camera so bought a new one (Lumix G1).
I'll upload a few shots when I get computer cable connection sorted.

If there is heavy snow over next few days I'll head for the hills for some photos and to enjoy the views. I know a few trails that I have driven in summer but they will be challenging. Maybe Murroe or Killaloe area.

Anyone with a proper 4x4 interested in taking a trip might PM me. I would probably leave Limerick mid morning Sunday.

I would be reluctant to travel alone as there is a possibility of getting stuck.

I will post this in 4x4 forum also.

I was using a 300mm Lens but the 2 really nice ones were actually Macro shots so they were only 3ft away!
I was actually closer than the flash is in the picture.
Took ages for them to get used to me being there and I was starting to freeze! Lucky my Pentax is rated down to -10 and I had my thermals on!
The slave flash was triggered by the on camera one.
If you can set up the shot its a lot easier than catching them on the wing.
Funny thing is after a while you'd start to thing they were actually posing for you! Especially the Robins!
