Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are you connected using wireless or a wired connection to a router.

its a wired one. the modem is a thomson something. theres a lan cable going to the modem, although the modem does have an antenna

    Wired.

Go to control panel and click on Network Connections.

You should click on the New Connection Wizard (you may need details off the router first)

You can get in to the router by going Start - Run - type 'cmd' (without the quotes) and hit enter. In the DOS screen that opens up type 'ipconfig /all' (again without quotes and there's a space before the forward slash). Press enter.

This should give you the Default Gateway address. Put that IP in to your web browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome) and hit enter. You may need a password for that too but that'll be known by yourselves.

If this is to get in to the router then it might just be "password". Or check the box itself, sometimes it's on a label.

Assuming its Windows then just plug in the network cable from the back of the router into the PC and it should pick up on the network connection.

    Assuming your using windows.

Click Start -> Run -> type devmgmt.msc and click OK

Look for network adapters in the list. Expand it and see what you have.
If there is nothing there is there an entry for other divices or are there any yellow exclamation marks.

If there is a local network and it's disabled right click on it and enable.

Click start run type ipconfig hit return and post the output here.
