How do you decide to go out or not?

I went out last night and it was **** but I was mad to because I couldn't all week and wouldn't touch diageo day with a pint of scat aka guiness.

Tonight I can go out, the neighbour has people over and I can go and we'll all go out, meant to be a few people and all, but I don't feel like it, kind of.

I could go out, and possibly have fun, or go out, and it be a bit **** and not worth it, or could watch my film here and do something worthwhile tomorrow instead of being hungover.

    But.

I have a feeling I would be missing out, the cool thing would be socialise, am I supposed to feel a mad feeling to do this? I also want to chill out, but am I being lazy?

How do you decide, and do you ever feel the 'guilt' and go out anyway, and how important is the mood at the start of the night to you?

You can either go out, or stay in.

    Quite frankly, I couldn't give two f*cks.

Yeah but theres a comitment and point of no return, the 3 pints is that, even 2, even 1, and it means you're out.

Also, at what stage is it ****e?

It would be too late for the early night, and the clear head the next day, and I was out yesterday, and took it easy and still felt **** and was in bed for ages.

I need more guidance here scarydoll, if that is your real name.

Stay in but pretend you went out. Best of both ways then.

Or the other alternative - stay in, or go out.

Thanks, you could have either posted in this thread in a bid to express your lack of interest, or not posted, I'm wondering why you bothered.

Thanks anyway stalbergrabe, your contribution has given me time for thought and reflection.

    I look in my wallet

    Cry

Then decide NOT to go out. Or order in. Or buy a magazine Or a pizza

    Cry again

Then drink Aldi-brand alcohol and watch TV

    Ah, heres the thing.

The option is drink and socialise, although I did so yesterday, on the hope it would be good craic and miss out on using my weekend for anything else.

    Or,

Not drink, watch me film, and have the clear head for tomorrow and be able to do other things, having already gone out.

My question is how people decide on the spur of the moment, how do you even know what you want to do? I have made my decision, but I am wondering how much of me wants to go out, versus how much feels i should for the sake of it, its a deeper question, its the why of my decision, not the decision itself.

A default position no doubt, but as a man who always seeks to better himself, what should I do in such a situation, whats my motivation? I know what, but odds are it won't happen if I am in a half assed mood anyway out for the sake of it,\.

It depends, generally every weekend there are one or two gigs on around town i would happily go to, but i don't normally feel obliged to even though i tend to know the heads who have organised them, who are playing them etc etc.

Sometimes i will head out no matter what, normally for the grass roots stuff. Some mates had a vinyl coming out and were doing a launch party for it and even though i was ****ing wrecked i got myself out there door, went down and paid my few bucks on the door , got my copy of the release and had a boogy.

It's all about whether i am in the mood or not, but sometimes i'll over come the desire to stay at home when it something i feel deserves some support. Most of the bigger nights with big name acts i don't worry about, as they tend to get the crowds anyway.

I have the same battle when i am playing gigs myself, sometimes i mad to get out the door and into the club and get to work, sometimes i just wanna curl up and watch a movie...but i always go as it's always worth it. :pac:

Staying in is the new going out.

    Going out is over-rated anyway.
