Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Positive from Bolton, Utd don't like it up 'em.

Nani scores. Utd to win by 3-1

Rooney is really struggling at the moment for a player with so much talent. Maybe a forthnight or so off might help him sort himself out. Ala Tony Adams 97/98.

Jees . . Rooney couldnt give the ball away more if he tried . . Its a real shame to see how his form has dipped so much . .

Credit to Bolton . .Not sitting back and going at United . . No excuses for United if they cant win this one, . .

Nani did great there, but Knight and Ricketts failed very, very hard.

Nani quickly turning into the new Ronaldo :D

A thing of beauty from Nani.

Not the best defending from Bolton though.

Perhaps Smalling would have been a better pick than Evans for this one.

Good game this. Bolton doing well.

Bolton defending was absolutely shocking for the Nani goal, they just let him run wherever he wanted. Good finish mind, very Ronaldo-esque.

If Nani concentrates on the football aspect of his game he has the potential to be a fantastic player.

    Cracking goal

Getting a bit seat of the pants for Bolton now. Rooney coming into it.

Rooney has been absolute muck this season tbh.

Hmm, interesting attempt at a tackle by Vidic.

Decent game, although Bolton are playing so open, you fear for them.

Confident we'll get more goals, but equally confident we'll concede too. At least finished the half stronger.

Defensively in the air, United are quite weak this season. I realise Davies and Elmander are both huge, but in any of the games where an aerial threat is present, United have been pretty poor at dealing with it.

Yeah christ. Extremely weak. Just let Elmader run over him.

Bolton started really well, but have been all at sea since Nani's goal.

Ahhh jesus, why was Evra more than a yard off his post? So frustrating.

Randomness from BBC: all four English sides in the Champions League have never lost on the weekend before they play in Europe.

Here's hoping we can start putting decent balls into the area in the second half, fair play to Nani he took the goal well.

    Glazers Out!

Davies is not even 6 foot though. Elmander isn't bigger than Vidic or Evans either.

Evans was marking Znight for the goal. Knight is 6'6 though.

Evra was very poor for the goal.

It's been a messy game really. Lots of lose passing especially in the centre (come on Fletch) everything seems to break down in the final third.

But see, its a misconception that being good in the air is all about height. Positioning and timing have a lot more to do with it, strength as well.

You are right though, I was only talking in more a general sense. The back 4 are quite weak in the air.

Not good to see Giggs coming off inured:mad:

Bolton starting to look more dangerous again now.

Would have brought Owen on for Giggs and shove rooney out wide.

I think it might be time to get Rooney off and give Owen a run out.

Rooney looks short of energy or something. Maybe the cigarette habit has affected his fitness.

    Quite right, eg Tim Cahill

Apart from the opening 30 seconds we've done nothing in this second half. Really dissapointing stuff.

    Rooney off.

Macheda on for Rooney. No surprise.

A shadow of his former self for a worrying amount of time by this stage.

Rooney looked a shambles... Big pyschological lift for Bolton, like City had when Drogba went off.

Macheda's lay off for Berba wasn't bad. Decent start for him.

Even as a United fan, its hard to see anything positive in Rooneys performance today. Even the goading didn't spur him on.

Personally I would of brought on Owen.
