Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yep. Three teams tied on 6. It'd just get boring if we ever walked a group.

Long has really made a difference

Says it all really, he is a sub half of the time in the championship. Only 3 players out of the 14 that played tonight play regularly in the premiership. If Trap gets us through he will have preformed a miracle.

Anything other than a defeat would've just papered over the cracks but it's still disappointing.

Fahy and Gibson have to start the next game and hopefully we see more of the last half hour of tonights game.

Away against France, away against Italy and the last 20 mins here Ireland played with a good tempo and attacking intent and the performance becomes much better.

Not really, I would have been happy seeing Ireland win through legitimate means.

Cheating a game only glosses over our flaws, and makes us all look like a bunch of hypocrites when we celebrate it.

Ireland might as well become the new Blackburn

Ag deireadh an lae, the difference between the two sides was a lucky goal and a gulf in class; I wouldn't be overly pessimistic though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,256 ✭✭✭FlawedGenius

    peno at the end there?????????????
we had plenty of time to get a 3rd, would of been robbery on the Russians but who cares.
I still think Trap will play Green and Kilbane, and I still want his head!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,543 ✭✭✭JerryHandbag

Ah well at least goal difference didnt take the hit I thought it would. Funny how we're still top of group, odd group so far

Shane Long was very good when he came on

    Gibson?? Absolute passenger.

We were awful. No creativity whatsoever. Trap has always played with two holding midfielders and attacking wing backs. We need s passing midfielder with a destroyer. Duff, Lawrence on the flanks???

I'm not even going to reply to him actually, bit of a disgrace saying I'm not a true Irishman because I didn't want us to win by cheating.

I'm sorry I don't fulfill the "True Irishman criteria", I really am.

There is no barometer from minuscule to massive when using the term gulf in class. :o
