Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd say Hamšìk is probably the best player in our group. Improving every year in Italy, consistantly puts in quality performances and offers a lot of goals from midfield.

    HT 1 1. A draw will do.

It would have been a headache inducer if I stuck with the stream, although the Setanta commentary is no great shakes either.

    Good game though

How do the Slovakian defence get away with climbing over the strikers as if they're ladders? 2/3 times the much larger defender has wrapped everything around an Armenian, only for free out to be given.

One of the Slovak defenders is already on a yellow for persistant fouling. Heres hoping for a red. :D

Even a draw here would be a nice result :)

I think Trapattoni would bit somebodys hand off to take a draw here.

Armenia win would be great but I be thrilled with draw right now.

Wikipedia tells me Armenia have taken off a midfielder and brought on a striker.

IF this armenia game stays this way it'll obviously be good points-wise but would also give the Irish lads a boost for later on.

I'm dreaming here but imagine this for tonight; Ireland 9pts,Armenia 7pts Slovakia 6pts, Russia 3pts

    :)

    Cant forget those thrifty Armenians.

This is making our 1-0 win over there look a good result now, even if i wasn't happy with it at the time,

If this stays as an Armenian win or even a draw, the game tonight for us becomes so much bigger (as if it wasn't big enough) a win would be fantastic!

My excitement and nerves are starting to turn to excitement and belief!

    Come on Ireland!

I be still happy with draw

Armenia's ranking really doesn't do their footballing prowess justice. The possiblity to put the cat amongst the pigeons in this group is in their own hands right now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Armenia starting to fall back a bit now.

Armenia would have 4 points after this game.

My extreme bad. I heard 4 points mentioned, thought they were already on it. Simple maths would've told me otherwise:o

Slovakia have been atrocious. So much for Hamsik, can't even square a 5 yard pass.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 874 ✭✭✭JamBur

2-1 with 10 mins to go, prob 3 or 4 mins of extra time as well

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,276 ✭✭✭IRISHSPORTSGUY

Judging by Armenia's recent results they can compete against tappy tappy teams, but struggled against our physicality. :)

Haha ye i know. I was sayin in a previous thread that its to do with UEFA rules on external sponsorship in official matches. They can only have official UEFA sponsors mentioned, hence why its the Dublin Arena for all UEfa qualifiers and the europa cup final.

Tonight has draw written all over it. Russia will take the away draw and Trap will accommodate.
