    As the title says:

    What is the longest running thread(publically viewable - no private forums) and where can it be found?

    The thread of course has to be active and not just simply the oldest.

    Actually the second post is the original post on that thread, the first post that's displayed was added much later by Thaed to demonstrate some modly power or another. Can't actually remember what the reason was.

    Post Images of Beauty in cycling had it's first post in February 2004. However there was a three year gap after the first few posts, and then 2 threads were merged to form the current one.

    Most of the long-lived threads are just necro'ed ones.

    The thread that probably counts as the longest running one is this: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=19782 (4th May 1999 to 22nd June 2009 - just over 10 years.)
