Pike Deadbait Fishing

    As it's coming up to Winter and the trout season is over for another year, sad I know, I thought I might try fishing for pike using deadbait. I've never fished deadbait "properly". I used to just drop the deadbait to the bottom of the lake without any special rig or float. I have purchased a pike float kit with all included but don't really know how to go about using it. Does anyone know any techniques or rig setups that may be succesful.
