Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Currently backing up my DVD collection to an external HDD. When using handbrake encoding process uses 100% CPU. Will this be harmful to my CPU in the long run? I plan to back up all of my own DVD collection as well as the kids DVD collection.

Here are the specs of my PC:

So long as it's adequately cooled, there should be no problem.

    http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ @PogMoThoin thanks for those they're handy.

Don't know much about cooling, are these temps ok? What level is danger zone?
Would i need to upgrade my Vostro 430 current cooling system if i plan to encode a lot of movie files?

Thats just about ok, I'd not like to see them going into the 70's. You'll not do the chip any damage as it will downclock itself to prevent damage. Not sure how that Dell is for changing to a better cooler, Dells are usually tight on space, but for now improve airflow to it and open the window
