Are you in denial that Fry and Polanski are friends. What makes Polanski different from any other child abuser that Fry professes to hate?

Burden of proof is on you, mate, otherwise you're trollin'.

Yes or no, are they friends?

Why did Polanski want Fry to be in his film? Now the film has changed to Ritchie he still has the part. This is all over google and yahoo. Not exactly difficult to find.

Why would Fry have taken money from a child abuser?

What's that got to do with him being surrounded by priceless works of art when he could be aucitioning them and giving the proceeds to people in need worldwide? What's wrong with living the simple humble life that Jesus did?

So you think the Pope owns works of art?

Does Mary McAleese own the works of art in the Irish national gallery? Do you think she could sell them or that the Taoiseach could sell them for personal use in helping people in need.

The Pope at least stands over an organisation that helps more people than any other in the world. He doesn't own any works of art.

Ritchie directed the first one, and was going to direct the second one. When was Polanski directing it?

I don't think you know what you're talking about.

Read what I wrote, then answer that. If you're going to ignore it, then I'll ignore you. Thanks!

Yes i did screw that up but the bottom line is Fry and Polanski are friends. What makes Polanski an acceptable child abuser to many in the entertainment industry?

Their circle, the luvvy duvvies, is just as bad as the church.

Why should we believe they're friends? All we have is your word, which has previously proven to be completely misinformed.

The same way i would take Fry's word on the BBC being infantile and chicken nugget tv programming then taking a job with them 4 weeks later.

I will back off the subject now but this debate has been done before on one of the other boards i post on. Will have a look through the archives as am sure there are links to their friendship. If i can't find it we will agree to differ but they fly with the same crows.

How about instead of agreeing to differ: If you are wrong and can't back this up, you admit you are wrong, and if you are right and can back it up, I'll admit you are right.

    It seems so much simpler.

Restores; When Anon engages in gleefull mischief, often directed against those who are terrible people, like the girls who bullied Phoebe Prince to death or that guy who set the cat on fire.
Destroys; When Anon ruins someone's life who didn't deserve it.

You mentioned works of art, you think living among them means one is unable to live a simple life.

No, you don't understand what I wrote, I'm afraid. Shame.

1: The pope is the head of the Holy See, the undisputed, absolute monarch. He can make and unmake laws, as he controls every branch of government.
2: He's also God's representative on earth according to Catholic doctrine, right?

3: Bearing in mind 1 and 2, why exactly can't he say 'The artworks of the Vatican should be sold to give money to the poor'?

Who in the Vatican is going to say 'No pope, you are wrong and you cannot do this'? Who has the authority to supersede him and stop it?

The people who actually own the property. Interesting that the Pope would rise in your estimation should he ride roughshod over property rights etc. Stop the madness.

Out of interest, why did you mention homophobia specifically? What about racism and other forms of abuse.

Racism and other forms of prejudice are dealt with. They are all horrible, but some things get dealt with and others don't, thats what pisses me off. That some groups aren't worth protecting. Its less even homophobia itself, just the fact that a body set up to educate and prepare our young people to be good well rounded individuals thinks its still ok to hate people based on their gender expression and sexuality.

You seem certain the Pope doesn't have the ability to dispense with the assets of the vatican. Why? What do you base that on? Who do you think actually owns the priceless paintings in the vatican if not the vatican state, of which he is the head?

    Edit:
While I'm on the subject, what makes you think I give a **** what the pope says about property rights?

Are you suggesting that the irish education system is promoting or condoning homophobia or other forms of discrimination?

Condoning, promoting and just generally not dealing with. Its different if you're in a non religious school. My school is really homophobic (like the administration). I mean you never see LGBT issues in the SPHE books, big huge chapters on everything else.
