So Ryan's votes being distributed now. And then Cullinane's?

Could Conway AND Halligan get in? This is ace!

Not just yet, votes from previous 2 havent been distributed fully yet

I tallied around 1000 votes of Cullinanes earlier and as far as distributing preferences went, for every 5 Halligan was getting, Kenneally was getting 1. Waterford is by no means over and I now know why the (to be fair to them) on the ball Fianna Fail tallymen were looking so worried earlier on!

As much as I hope/think that Halligan is going to grab the last seat we shouldn't forget Kenneally. Don't count your chickens. Kenneally has a chance, but let's just hope that Waterford isn't as stupid as we think it is.

With two left wing candidates left to be eliminated, I can't see much hope of him gaining many transfers from them.

Looks, at the moment, like being 2 FG, 1 Lab & 1 Independent (Halligan).

Nope, will be eliminated on the next count I'd imagine, unless there's a massive upset.

That's all going to depend on Ryan's transfers.

Sadly not - I thought he had a real fighting chance too.

Although I would be happy enough to see Halligan take the last seat, as he was my third preference.

    No Cullinane no hope.

    Three horse race now.

    Halligan and Conway for me.

A sad reality is that had he polled better than Halligan, or had Halligan not bulldozed the City, Cullinane would have definitely been elected.

Being honest, I didn't think we would have polled that well in the City. Bit disappointed with Tramore though.

How did the Tramore vote pan out?

Is anyone else getting fed up of seeing the newly elected being hoisted up onto the shoulders of their supporters? Fuckin cringeworthy

collery and higgins not released yet!

  • Registered Users Posts: 125 ✭✭JOHNFRANCE

This is going to go on till 4 or 5 o clock.

    Hope they don't adjourn!

Halligan gets 300 odd from distribution of Higgins and Collery, Kenneally only got 70 or so. My sister doesn't really understand the whole process but from what I can gather, Coffey was elected on that count and has a surplus to be distributed?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,468 ✭✭✭decies

Jeez there shouting at each other on rte radio desperate coverage of elections by rte!!! Ryan eliminated.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,472 ✭✭✭AdMMM

Has anyone been tuning into Newstalk? They have a reporter there. WLR are also cutting from their programmes to catch the announcement of the counts.

Will it be too small to bother distribute though? Or will they just eliminate Ryan?

So keneally might not get in thus no Fianna fail TD in Waterford? Incredible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 528 ✭✭✭fitzcoff

    Coffey still not in, 10703
    conway 6424
    halligan 6448
    kenneally 7968
    cullinane 5868
    ryan 5113

    ryan eliminated

  • Registered Users Posts: 125 ✭✭JOHNFRANCE

    Ok moment of truth time.

Ryan to transfer to Conway (logical) and less so to Halligan.

Kenneally to get very few transfers from Ryan.

So it'll still be a three horse race with Halligan looking to benefit from Cullinane's potentially huge transfers?
