The person that was banned said he saw one of the contestants back on their old sales job (so that contestant didn't win the show).

Breifne said he thought it was gonna be the last series on the radio this morning. Apparently the law's changed and it won't be able to continue without the funds from the shameless advertising.

They will probably be getting a rap on the knuckles for the shamless product placement.

I assumed the product placement was explicit and paid for, seeing as tv3 is a purely commercial channel.

I mean come on, I know I was planning my relaxing break in a Carlton hotel as a treat before I start my delicious unislim diet long before the programme started.

I didn't really enjoy last night's episode the blatant plugging of Unislim was disgraceful imo especially when they wheeled out the blond who said 'I lost 7 stone on Unislim and I wouldn't eat that'.
Blatant and shameful commercialism 2 hours of one big advert, surely there is some law against it? It was so bad last night that it has spoiled the show for me.

    Folks,

If you feel that strongly about it you need to complain to the BAI within 30 days of the shows broadcast.

    http://www.bai.ie/broadcasting_complaints.html

    complaints@bai.ie

You can complain under the following regulations

    http://www.bai.ie/broadcasting_complaints.html

Section 7.3.(d) Whch pertains to undue prominance.

I think everybody seems to be in agreement that last week was bad but this week was even worse!

FYI - The "regulation" on this is about as good as the financial "regulation" we have had over the last 10 years...ie none! Unbelievably the regulator will not act unless they receive a complaint

    Let's go folks!
By the way I understand that TV3 is a commercial station but last week was the pits, they need to tone it down, none of the US one with Donald Trump were near as bad as last week's episode.

FYI also, the show has been reprimanded in each of its first two series and they still are at it.

    EG -

Shows you a)What TV3 think of the regulator and b)How strong the BAI are at putting people in check

The only way to get anywhere is to complain as the BAI wont do anything otherwise.

Id also bet my last cent on each and every episode being in breach of the regulations so you could be sending an email every Tuesday morning for the next 2 months :D

I just read through the thread and I can't see a place where anyone picked up on Barry's off-camera antics.
When he thought there was no recording going on he was givin it loads arguing with his teammates - as soon as the cameras picked up again he was all "we're done". They showed it in the your fired show.
Up to that I thought he might be a boor with a heart of gold type of fella.
He is obviously just a total schemer!

I think he is a total knacker/scumbag/bully, and not because of his accent.

It's his whole demeanour. He is very aggressive - and not the good kind. Not only does he not listen, he shouts people down. His language when talking to his supposed colleagues is disgraceful, and he was worse again when the camera was not on him. I am glad they showed that, they seem to have got his number.

I hope someone stands up to him. I think either he will be fired the first time he has any power as he thinks he is gods gift and will be a total dictator, or he will go too far in his bullying and will be booted off for that.

I think it's pretty normal then to say, 'Alright, we've sorted that now lets not fight for the camera'. I don't see why a big thing was made of it.

Yes but they hadn't sorted it out, the others didn't agree but he just bull-dozed his "we're done" through. Barry just decided to be foul-mouthed with his colleagues off camera and then act all reasonable when the cameras roll.
Do you not think that that is manipulative and sneaky?

Unislim mustn't have been able to afford the slots on Today FM! :p

I'm embarrassed for Unislim that they are using that ad.

It was on during Ian Dempsey this morning, that's actually embarrassing.

Hi guys! Would anyone happen to know what shade of hair colour bill uses? I must admit im a complete newcomer to the Irish Apprentice and as such I have just recently realised that i have been living my life with a massive Bill Cullen shaped void in it. Never have i encountered such a potent symbol of male sexuality and charisma and hence i have decided to follow his teachings to the letter. I have already hired a cliche coach and have an appointment with a tailor for a power suit fitting. Also i currently am in the process of interviewing for an ex-lapdancer and reformed housebreaker as sidekicks for my day to day life though i feel the correct hair colour would let people know what a business (and life) powerhouse there dealing with.

Ahh.... Its clear to see that your going places me boy-o. You've certainly got the 'liathróidí' required to make it in the cut and thrust world Irish business. I think this is the shade your looking for:

By utilizing my super web skills ;) I think I have found out a way to find out who is not getting hired via the tv3 website. its not fool proof because I don't want to spoil it for myself I've not checked it 110%
