Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Dont you mean "coaching" contracts

All Bohs players have player contracts. It was Derry that tried to cheat.

Yes clubs get money from RTE, its from the last TV deal, it was worth 5m less for the FAI to include LOI games/MNS in the deal.

Mate - I actually heard this before but couldn't find info on it - you got any links to back this up?

    Thanks.

If only we had an asset worth at least as much as our debts...

Its about keeping cashflow going till we can drastically reduce our budget (easier said than done) and then running at a profit till we can do a proper deal for Dalymount without worrying about a dry cleaner or whatever taking out a winding up order possibly forcing a firesale of dalymount.

Slightly easier if you hadn't signed those 7 players at the start of the year or if you had accepted the 100k Dundee Utd offered for Fenlon. Not signing those players and letting Fenlon go would have saved you more than 300k over the year which coincidentally enough is the rumoured amount you need to raise now to make it through to the end of the year. You can't blame lack of hindsight either, the world and it's mother knew Bohs finances were dire 2 years ago never mind now. I suppose 2 years ago you had the Carroll deal to fall back on but this year to continue gambling on European success, signing all those players you couldn't afford with the Carroll deal dead and the property market in ruins was just downright stupid. To make it worse this was done with the support of the overall membership. Jesus wept.

Yea, Im not delighted with the preseason signings but once they were signed it would have been ridiculous to let Fenlon go.

Fact is the majority of the wagebill is on the lads here a few years, even if no signings had been made we'd have been paying 10 or so pros a fortune with an amateur keeper in goals and amateurs in backup, it was marginal as to wheter the gamble was worth it or not. Our budget has practically halved since Sean Connors season in charge.

There is something fishy when the cost of running the underage teams went up by E130K in one year from E40K to E170K

We moved training to DCU for all teams, Rovers and the FAI have been through those accounts with a fine tooth comb and found nothing.

Yea, agreed. There's no longer any ownership disputes btw but its sad looking back that we were in profit after the Aberdeen game 10 years ago with the Jodi stand in construction.

Unfortunately, the imprudence was far more risky as none of the recent financial casualties (including Rovers) had assets to strip. The great irony about your sole asset is that it's vulnerable to a fire sale.

Would be great if the local authority could do something along the lines of Tallaght for Bohs and Shels but I feel that time has gone now finance-wise: deep-down, no supporter of the league can be happy at the thought of Tolka and Dalyer closing down.

75K into the coffers if Trap sees sense and caps Stephen Ward.

You have to admire that, even if it's a little imprudent. Fair play to him.
