Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Coachbuilt use

We were originally looking at coachbuilts, then we were going to do a conversion, and now coachbuilts are maybe back on the table. We definitely want to use whichever van we choose for more than just holidays and weekends away.

So, we're weighing up our options, so I was looking for some experienced advice...
Do people with coachbuilts use them as "day vans" as well? How do you find you get on and do you find any (non-height*) issues getting into places?
There's not much difference in lengths (coach built maybe shorter than a lwb panel van), but an overcab coachbuilt would be less efficient for fuel. Is there anything other than width and fuel economy that should be entering our equation?

*height getting into places shouldn't be much different as a high roof panel van won't fit under barriers anyway.

well , to be a pedant , IIRC Dolmen frown on people using Campers as everyday transport..

But we have a new Factory van conversion here , and there's a couple of lo-profiles that are lower , and no longer. yet have more space inside.

Thanks Aiden, but I didn't mean everyday use, although as far as I'm aware Dolmen will cover for that, at a price. More for days out with the family - eg the beach & walks etc - that wouldn't be an overnight.
