Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was this one of the races mentioned in the book 'The looniness of the long distance runner'? I remember he ran a race against a train, very funny. Would love to do a race like this, certaintly something different.

I haven't seen the book, but I think this is about a 10k so probably not for the long-distance loonies :)

Just thinking about it, we could stage a race-the-luas.. against the red line (more interruptions/delays than the green) between conolly and heuston? :)

Read about this in Men's Running (new mag) last week. Distance is about 14 miles, out and back. Takes the train about 1:45 to do the distance including 10 minutes to turnaround. Includes options to take the train for the first half and only race it on the second half. Looks like a lot of fun alright :)

Great book that, everything but the pedicure he got before the NYC marathon. Yeah he ran against the train somewhere in wales alright, he was ahead of it early then the hilly section kicked in and he faded. He said only the fastest beat the train but he gave it a lash anyway.
