Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure how to fix front brake

    Hey,

I'd a bit of prang on my cycle home this evening, long story short I had to swerve very quickly, caught the side of a wall and then my bike hit the ground.

The right (as you sit on the bike) front brake pad keeps rubbing off the rim of the wheel now. I've checked the rim and it's not buckled or bent. I'm not sure how to loosen / adjust the brake to return it to its original state i.e. not rubbing off the rim. It seems like the left side is pulling the right onto the pad but I'm not sure how to fix it.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Below are some photos of the brake (haven't had a chance to clean off the muck yet!). I'd really like to try to get it fixed tonight if possible as I cycle to work, don't have another bike and may not have the cash right now (depending on the cost) to get it fixed professionally.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Loosen the front skewer so the wheel is not held tightly, pull the brakes, tighten the skewer, release the brakes

How did that work then. Was the wheel off center?
