could have been a large cash delivery to the central bank in sandyford

There were 3 large truck going down the m50 with full army escort including the chopper.
I reckon it was a delivery to the state Mint in Sandyford could have been anything from paper to plates or new coin dies.

Dont think it would be, they were standard soft body artic's, usually the money trucks are hard body rigids. I saw this about a week or two ago also going southbound

The Central Bank doesn't print every euro denomination (Actually only the bank notes with T in the serial number are printed in Ireland), I think Sandyford is printing mostly tenners at the moment.

Therefore the other denominations are printed by central banks elsewhere in the eurozone resulting in a large cash movement from Dublin airport to the mint every so often.

The amount of cash makes it too big for normal armoured carriers but also is the reason for the high security.
