    Hi guys. I am looking to find the definitive game cookery book....anyone any suggestions??? Also has anyone ever heard of a Ms Behans cookbook?? apparently it's a really old Irish cookery book....would love to get my hands on a copy! Cheers...

    There's a game recipie thread on the hunting forum, there's plenty there to get you started, even one or two from the Ms Behan book I believe.

    Roast Woodcock/Snide spear by its on billl springs to mind.

    Here's the link, and for anyone else that has a look, its another forum and deals with cooking wild animals, not those bought in a shop. so expect it to be a bit more praphic at times.

    Thanks very much Catho....I'm sure your right...I was only going on what my cousin was telling about an old book his grandmother had (my great grandmother)...he was always on about it...this has to be it!!! Thanks again...

    Just looked at the link, definitely it...he was on about "jugged hare" before...

    good look getting your hands on Hare these days, goes for a lot of the birds featured too.
