Hi,Im curious to know which nvidia gtx 460 to get there are different branded names the i know the price is about 200 so whats the best one

I got the asus direct cu version and im happy with it as it has 2 copper pipes, great for overclocking and dispensing heat.

Thats not to say its the best one though

Technically, they are all the same at the moment. By that i mean they all use the reference pcb and design from Nvidia. The only difference will be the cooler, the clock speeds, the warranty and the bundles package. Thankfully the ****ty brands like pov and bfg are pretty much gone now, these are the ones that always skimp on components. If you can track down a Asus, Evga or Pallit card.

GTX460? No...

Off the top of my head only EVGA and Zotac are using the reference PCB. MSI and Gigabyte are using a fairly similar one with some different components and layout. The very common "Painward" (Palit/Gainward) PCB going into a lot of units is a lot shorter and very different; AFAIK they're all also BIOS-locked to stay well under 1.1V on the GPU

And bear in mind that the 1GB version has 33% more render back-ends as well as better memory bandwidth, plus almost all 1GB versions other than the base EVGA design sport some level of OC. If anything the GTX460 is one of the most diverse model numbers out there at the moment

Quite pricey, €210 is a lot for a stock GTX460 1GB when you can get OCd models for under €190, with the 800MHz+ versions cropping up above €215
