Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have been self employed for past 10 years. Now no work so have de-registered for tax purposes. Wife has struggling business so I would not be entitled to any S/W.
My concern is that there will be a gap in my PRSI contributions and I don't know if this will affect my future pension entitlements.

Enquire about signing on for credits.

    Thanks for that.
I think that menas I sign on but may get little or no SW but may get credits towards contributory pension.

Bad advice. You won't qualify for credits as self employed. Will need to purchase voluntary contributions.

If your wife's business is struggling then you never know you may be entitled to something. No harm in signing on and going through means test to check
