30-09-2010 7:03pm#1I was told that the Google Streetview Car was spotted doing donuts on the Omey Island land bridge last summer. Shame that the car evidently stopped at the Mainland and did not continue onto Omey even though the tide was out.

Don't they use front wheel drive hatchbacks for their streetview fleet (Opel Astras or similar). Donuts are better on the strand with a rear-wheel wagon. I hope they washed the underside soon after else the salt will have eaten through the floor pan within a few months. Ever since I stopped driving someone else's car I only crawl across in first. Still amuses me to see foreigners (anyone not living within 3 miles) fly across at 60+. 0
