Rain reached here at 6.47pm Wolf, peaked at 54mm/ph within seconds . Street is flooded outside. Easing up now but still heavy. Looking at the met radar, you'd swear it was nothing but a band of light rain:

yes deep. i made my post about torrential rain and then looked at met.ie and wondered how that was.

Warm, wet, wild and windy in Galway. Heavy bursts of rain are adding to the 10.8mm that has fallen since midnight. Temp 14.7C in a strong S'ly wind. Highest gust so far today was 42kph, recorded in the last hour.
Nothing like a howlin' wind and leaves smacking of the window to remind you that winter's nigh :D:D

Now 12.9mm and it's still hammering down. Temp has risen slightly to 14.9C and RH is 98%. Nice to see the west coast getting some actual 'weather' for a change :D

A grey, wet and miserable day here in West Dublin. 11c but feeling cooler in the breeze.

  • Registered Users Posts: 31,932 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

It's miserable in Tuam. I hate the rain. Add the huge roadworks to the rain and you get an almighty mess on the paths. And then you have inconsiderate tools in cars who think it's fun to drive through the resultant puddles to wet you with dirty water.
