Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hang on a second, we've done quite well today and shown that there isn't as big a gap between both team as some may have thought!

Early days but Chelsea look very good for the league again.

United need to start winning asap to keep on their heels.

Ramires was excellent, close to MOTM.

Predictable result with drogba scoring. Had to be expected anyway with our main players out. 7 points behind already looks a bit much to come back from

Never gonna beat Chelsea, they'll have it won by Xmas

For all the possession Arsenal had they didn't create much. Chelsea were very comfortable in defense tbh.

Main thing is that while we defend brillantly that when we have to attack we can make things happen, Arsenal didnt have that today, that was the difference today, that and Didier Drogba :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,183 ✭✭✭UnknownSpecies

If we had Fabby and van Persie we'd have won :P

Exact same as last year and every other year.

The same tactics beat us. The same match from both sides for the last 5 years with us dominating and wasting possession.

I cant wait for Wengers interview, obviously the pitch, the ref and the moon are the blame and not his players or himself.

Same old story all the possession and f**k all to show for it!!!!!

I must give Alex credit from chelsea.....What a Screamer!!!!!!

While that's true, we lost to two fantastic goals. Not much in the game for me, even if I'm somewhat biased!

How big with Drogba and say Essien missing. And again how big with those 2 missing and Fabregas playing ?

Over the course Of the season, I'd expect Chelsea to do better, but 11v11 and on the pitch today, feck all!

The sooner Wenger prepares for other teams and not just focus on his own teams play and actually set up his team to stop the other team. Thats the major problem.

No game plan against Drogba, bang, concede 1-0 down when it was very even and then keep the ball for most of the game, don't score and concede again.

Obviously this sounds stupid but the goal aside, I thought they handled Drogba about as well as could be expected.

Even the goal was an impossible finish. If you look at Drogba's reaction he really wasn't expecting it to go in.

The problem was that Arsenal needed to score but couldn't. Swapping Fabregas for Diaby would have made a big difference in this regard. I think we were shown today that Diaby just isn't a very good midfielder. He can look very good when the team are coasting but when there's no obvious pass on and he's under a bit of pressure, it really shows.
