Macheda and Owen up front is having an adverse effect on the team, they are not giving an out ball so we are just hoofing it to the wings. Its like we are defending a lead here. We need a target man or someone who can hold the ball up there, because its just wave after wave of Sunderland missed chances.

Shocking performance but it is understandable. Rio, Anderson, Macheda and Owen couldnt possibly be fully match fit . .

This reminds me of around 2002 when we had the likes of Djemba, miller and Bellion starting early season when fergie was resting players. Although these players are superior. Fergie is in a tough spot, how can he get players fit if they dont play and when can he give fringe players a chance if not in these kin dof games?

Absolutely no width in the left, Ando is more a central player than anything. WE need hi furter up the pitch to support Owen and Macheda, who havtn had great service but when they ahve they have lsot it too earlier before we can get up the pitch

What's really dissapointing is the lack of any bite from United in midfield.
We're allowing Sunderland too much time on the ball, thus they're running the game. Hairdryer required at half time I think.

Wouldn't say that. Anderson's running on the ball has been good but his passing has been terrible. Nani has been shocking. Owen and Macheda getting muscled off the ball far too easily. Very lucky to still be 0-0. Shocking that Macheda started in the first place, he's shown nothing all season and pre-season to warrant a start IMO.
