Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Fi,
The left one has reverse thread to the right, dont forget to greese the new ones or you may not be able to remove them next time.
There are many clips on how to change them on youtube so take a peek.
    Best of luck

The left one is threaded the opposite way as the right one, which can be confusing. I always think about about it this way:

To get the pedals off, turn the wrench towards the back of the bike (works for whichever pedal).
To put them back on, turn the wrench towards the front of the bike.

It may be hard to get the old pedals back off, as they actually tighten as you cycle. Use as long as a wrench as possible and they should come off without too much difficulty. It's usually just one big push and then loosening from there is easy!

a long wrench and a rubber mallet helps when they are stuck on tight. but make sure you are going in the right direction as mentioned above! grease the axle threads on the new pedals when you fit them

Yes the Left pedal, has a lefthand thread. To loosen it turn it Clockwise:D
A word of warning. Please put the chain on the large chainring, before you try to unscrew the driveside pedal.
If you slip with your large spanner, the teeth of the chain-wheel are super sharp....
When I worked as a shop mechanic in England, I had to drive one of my workmates to casualty, Lots of blood and screaming:eek:

Don't use a cheap wrench! :) I did that recently and damaged the wrench, the pedal and my mental stability! Get decent tools else bring it to a bike shop and they'll do it!
